Carol Ball School of Real Estate has created a live Real Estate Brokers LIVE IN-PERSON Prelicensing Class utilizing the materials and features of the classroom course that successful real estate agents have used to prepare for their careers as brokers. The course will be presented live and delivered to you through ZOOM on your computer. Keone Ball is the course instructor and will teach each class live. Included books and materials distributed on Maui only on the Monday before class begins. Off island students will be mailed their books. Shipping and handling extra for off island registrations invoiced separately. No Refunds once classes have started.

Directed reading of assignment BEFORE each class starts.

Class Schedule

  • Week 1 Monday-Friday 4:30-9:00. Saturday Review.
  • Week 2 Monday-Friday 4:30-9:00. Saturday Review
  • Week 3 Monday-Tuesday 4:30-9:00. Class Final Wednesday 2:00-6:00. 150 questions. You must pass each of the National and Hawaii sections with at least 75% and attend all classes to pass the course and receive your Completion Certificate.
  • Over 120 hours of instruction through directed reading, lecture, PowerPoint, Q & A discussion, small group discussion, class drill activities, experience based scenarios, daily quiz, review. Focused review for class final.
  • Proctored 4 hour final exam.
  • Daily directed reading required of course material before each class.
  • You must have a computer with camera to enable ZOOM through which the course will be delivered, live.

Passing the Carol Ball School of Real Estate Broker LIVE IN-PERSON Prelicensing Course requires attendance at all the classes, completing the directed reading portion of the class before each lesson and passing the class final with at least 75% on the Uniform portion of the final as well as 75% on the Hawaii portion of the final. There will be no opportunities for repeating the final exam. Students should be prepared to devote 3.5 hours a topic directed reading to prepare for the class the following day.

The school reserves the right to dismiss a student who is disruptive to the class. There are no refunds given to any student who has enrolled in the course once the class begins. The state of Hawaii licensing exam is held on Maui several times a month and and on Oahu daily. It is provided by PSI for the State of Hawaii. The fee for the exam, paid to PSI is $61.00. Important Notice:

Among other requirements before taking the Hawaii Broker exam are three years’ full time experience and obtaining an experience certificate signed by your Principal Broker or Broker in Charge. Please review the General real estate licensing information found on the state website before enrolling in this course – http://cca.hawaii.gov/reb/real_ed/.

EXAMINATION APPLICATION FORMS

Here is the link to the Broker Experience Certificate for your Broker to complete. It must also go to the state for their approval. You will not be admitted to the Broker Licensing Exam Without the Form. It sometimes takes weeks to get it back so apply for it accordingly. Click HERE to access forms.

About the Instructor:

The live real estate Broker LIVE IN-PERSON prelicensing course is taught by Keone Ball, REALTOR ®, ABR, CRB, CRS. He introduces the lessons by relating them to his experiences through his own sales involvement since 1997 as well as through his broker mentorship of sales persons since 2001 at the multi-agent firm where he had served Principal Broker. Keone has successfully led classes preparing students to pass the licensing exam. Testimonies of past students and passing rates above the state norm attest to the success of his teaching techniques.

He is a member of the National Association of Realtors and is an Accredited Buyer Representative, Certified Real Estate Broker Manager, and Certified Residential Specialist. He is a Certified Real Estate Prelicensing Instructor for the State of Hawaii. Licensed in real estate since 1996 and earning his Broker’s license in 2001, Keone serves as a Broker in Charge at Keller Williams Realty.

His experience serves him well as an instructor allowing him to successfully introduce the class to essential concepts through his vast real estate experiences. Keone served twice as President of the Realtors Association of Maui and held Directorships with the Hawaii Association of Realtors. His community activities include serving as chair of the Maui Police Commission, chairperson of the Maui Planning Commission, and chair of the Maui Redevelopment Agency.
